After a ten-year production hiatus, Harley-Davidson has resurrected the Nightster. The manageable model is back for this year, and arrives with the firm’s Revolution Max v-twin engine, which it introduced with the Pan America and Bronx models that it unveiled about three years ago.
Although it slots beneath it, the new Nightster is a post-meridian version of the Sportster, really, and has the DNA from the legendary smaller model throughout. Harley draws the comparison to include the model’s airbox cover and exposed rear shocks. For the sake of weight relief and overall efficiency, the frame and the powertrain are deeply integrated. The Nightster has a low center of gravity courtesy of fuel cell and engine placement. The Revolution Max engine displaces 975 cc.
To improve rider experience, the Nightster comes with safety enhancements that automatically compensate for changing conditions when braking, accelerating and decelerating, and a suite of modes that optimize the bike for dry pavement, wet pavement or performance.
Pricing for the 2022 Harley-Davidson Nightster starts at $13,499.
