NBA sharpshooter Steph Curry’s previous real estate maneuvers have mainly involved properties in the Bay Area. In late 2019, the Golden State Warriors team member bought heavily into Atherton, dropping $31 million on a green contemporary in the Silicon Valley bedroom community, and a few months later spent $8 million on a spot at the Four Seasons Residences in San Francisco.
This time around, Curry’s acquisition is a transitional in Central Florida, according to Dirt. In the second week of July, the championship veteran and three-point ace shelled out $2.1 million for a 2015-built four bedroom on .32 acres in Winter Park—$400,000 over ask. The 4,242 sq. ft. house features mixed European architectural inspiration, with a bit of Tuscan visible in its façade. It begins with a transom-capped double-door entry that gives way to a foyer floored with plank oak.
As the house progresses, a bright, neutral, and open modern-tinged style emerges that is softened somewhat by gentle arches. Fireplaces, hardwood cabinetry, and mosaic tile also contribute. Outside, a partially covered brick patio transitions to a teeming wedge of lawn, the companion piece to a healthy front yard.
