Retired hockey star Bobby Holik has relisted his hobbyist equestrian ranch in Wyoming for sale. Holik, a Stanley Cup champ twice over, is asking $17.75 million for the Jackson Hole haven. The price represents a $4 million price reduction over the property’s ask last July.
The property dates to 2004, and stretches to twenty-five acres before it’s finished. The house is a contemporary lodge-meets-log ranch affair with an L-shaped design. It contains three bedrooms and six baths in its 4,916 sq. ft. of interior living area. A guest house on the estate adds two bedrooms, two baths and an additional 1,000 sq. ft. to the property totals.
Interiors are open, bright, and rustic, with abundant hardwood — including exposed ceiling trusses with log beams — as well as stone fireplaces and accents, and hardwood and stone floors. In the kitchen is a recessed stone cooking area with an earth-toned tile backsplash, a well-designed touch in this custom-built home.
The Grand Teton views and conifer-peppered grounds should certainly be listed among this estate’s amenities. For the riders and their mounts, there is an arena and eight paddocks, along with a two-acre riding area, tack room, and seven-stall barn with workshop.
